    Please take this survey to help Carroll County Government better understand the internet needs of our residents. Your data will help us determine where internet access is strong and where it is lacking and will assist county, state and federal agencies with projects to improve rural broadband availability.  Please only complete ONE survey per household.   • Please tell us how fast your home internet connection is by doing the following:

    1. Connect to the internet
    2. Open the internet browser
    3. Go to: https://www.speedtest.net/
    4. Click the GO button to run the test.
    5. After the test runs, it will give you 2 numbers. Please record the numbers below: 

  • Are there other rate plans available you can subscribe to for higher speeds?
  • Are you able to purchase a plan that provides 100 download and 20 upload speeds or more?
  • What problems are you having with your current Internet Service Provider?
  • Do you have a long driveway where you have been told you will have to pay to get your house connected?
  • Have you checked your home Internet information on the FCC’s Broadband map for accuracy?
